Wine making is an integral part of Italian culture and has been prevalent since 800BC when the Mycenaean Greeks introduced this practice to Sicily. Today, over 350 grapes have been documented in the 36 DOCG appellations. Wine is traditionally crafted to accompany the food of the region and vice versa, the variety of styles and techniques are truly fascinating. There are the juicy reds of Puglia and crisp aromatic whites of Campania in the warm South, the noble Chianti and Brunello of Tuscany and the sublimely decadent Barolo and Barbaresco of Piedmont in the North, to name but a few. We are also dedicated followers of the 'Super-Tuscan' and regularly offer the wines of Ornellaia, Sassicaia and Antinori.
