Rhone

The Rhone Valley runs from the heady slopes of Hermitage in the North to the pudding stone clad vineyards of Chateauneuf du Pape in the South. Home to a plethora of stunning grape varietals there is a wine for everyone in this diverse region. The reds are predominantly made up of syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre and Cinsault ranging from soft, vibrant, fruit driven wines to earthy, meaty beasts with huge longevity. The famed appellation of Chateauneuf du Pape can utilise up to thirteen varietals in its blend! The whites are unctuous expressions of Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne, refined, aromatic and vibrant in their youth developing notes of honeysuckle and acacia with age.
