Looking for Wine

About Us

Established in 2008, Richard Dawes Fine Wine is a wholesale fine wine trader based in London specialising in supplying the finest wines to trade and private customers around the world.

While our business is dominated by Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne, we enjoy sourcing wines from Italy, Spain, Australia, New Zealand and the USA to name but a few. We endeavour to provide not only wines of exceptional quality, but those that also present value for money.

Our extensive contacts throughout the UK and Europe enable us to offer competitive pricing. We also work with a number of private collectors worldwide. This furnishes us the opportunity to unearth rare gems hidden away in collections, often untouched since initial release.

Knowledge, service and experience make Richard Dawes Fine Wine the perfect partner for all fine wine requirements. Whether you are buying wine to drink now, lay down or as an investment, we offer all the care and expertise needed to make the purchasing of your wine a simple, pleasurable and enlightening experience.
About Us
Benjamin Dawes
Benjamin Dawes
After spending 10 years in various corners of the trade most notably with Davy's of London and Roberson Wine Merchant Ben went about setting up RDFW after harbouring a desire to run his own business. Ben looks after all purchasing, sales to the trade and export enquiries. He has a passion for top Bordeaux but still thinks it's hard to beat a 1978 Hermitage La Chapelle by Jaboulet.
Pete Goss
Pete Goss
Initially destined to be a modern day Lovejoy, Pete decided to hang up his apron at Christies to embark on a career in the wine trade. After three years sampling the weird and wonderful at Roberson he moved on to look after private clients at Armit in 2007 before joining RDFW. After unsuccessful days fly fishing, he enjoys nothing more than 1er Cru Chambolle, favourite so far - Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuées 2001, Mugnier.
William Gossip
William Gossip
William started off in the wine trade in 2002 as a student in Dublin working for Mitchell & Son. He then worked for 3 years in the UK for Berry Bros. He joined RDFW in October 2010 in search of a fresh challenge. He is primarily in sales, but is also involved in some buying. His wine taste is eclectic but Burgundy and Bordeaux are never far from his mind. The best wine he has ever had was a 1945 Latour.
